Wow, until the final act, this was shaping up damn near brilliant. I found myself gasping in shock at the turns the story was taking, not because of chills or anything, but just that story could be so complex and so satisfying as it wound it's way to its brutal end.There are some shocks, and they're awesome. The pacing is excellent, the revelations are extremely well timed. The only downfall is the overwrought ending.
