Do you need more of an endorsement to rent this movie?
Okay... well, it wasn't great. I laughed at Paul Rudd being a dick, and Stifler just being himself, but not much else. The problem was that it didn't know whether to be a cute movie for kids, or an adult comedy. There's much swearing and lots of sex-related gags, including a very unfunny bit featuring a hotdog in bread. All the grown up stuff was hugely distracting. This should have been aimed at the same audiences as School of Rock, Drillbit Taylor, and Will Ferrell's Kicking and Screaming and movies like that. It should have been an edgy kid flick. But it wasn't.
It's just hard to reconcile this storyline featuring two men cracking these little kids, and making them happier people, with Stifler shoving his fingers in Rudd's face after a hot date.
So, really, the themes were disjointed. But the actors make it watchable.
